The mission of the Noonan Academy PTA is to support our school in its ability to offer a superior education through rich academics while fostering community between our students, parents and staff. We demonstrate this in several ways:

1.) Organizing and hosting school activities.
2.) Organizing and hosting school fundraisers.
3.) Bringing families together through various social events.
4.) Listening to the needs, suggestions and concerns of our teachers.
5.) Maintaining a high level of communication between the PTA and our school principal.

We encourage participation and communication through our General Meetings where ideas, questions, concerns and needs are shared. All parents and teachers are greatly encouraged to attend. We also hold regular PTA Board Meetings where these ideas are further discussed and implemented.
 
Examples of events sponsored by the Noonan Academy PTA are: the Scholastic Book Fair, Holiday Shopping Extravaganza, Easter Egg Hunt, Annual Garage Sale and the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon.

Introducing a new PTA Fundraiser:

The Drink Pouch Brigade!

Collect any kind of aluminum or plastic drink pouch at home. Make sure the pouch is empty, remove the straw and flatten. No need to wash. Bring the empty pouches in to the collection bag in your classroom, or the collection box in the front hall. Or, bring Noonan approved juice pouches (like Capri Sun 100% Juice) for lunches or school parties, and add them to the classroom collection bag once you have finished your drink. It's that easy!

Once we have collected 500, we send them back to TerraCycle (they pay shipping) and they will send us a check for $10. They recycle the pouches into benches, or make them into tote bags or pencil pouches. A cool way to help raise money for the school, and help reduce trash, over and over.
