Science Fair Notes:

The Society for Science representatives have judged our Science Fair program and announced the top winners for our school. We have ten slots that Lee County gives us to send the following students to the Edison Regional Science Fair on Saturday, January 14 at Alico Arena from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and public viewing is from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. The venue has changed and is now at Alico Arena. I encourage students to come to the public showing from 2:00-5:00 p.m. to see the competition in Lee County from our area for science fair and how they may get ideas and look for ways to improve their own projects each year.

All the students are winners for undertaking this endeavor and doing their personal best. The projects will be

on display at our Curriculum Fair in May. We thank the Society for Science judges for choosing the top ten

students from our school.

The top 10 are as follows:

1st Place - Craig Effectiveness of Field Treatment methods for the Removal of Pathogens in Water

2nd Place - Jake - Bird Brains

3rd Place - Michael - Bacteria Be Gone

4th Place - Claire - Glowing Magic

5th Place - Amanda - Algal Blooms in Florida Lakes
